Almost all religions hold in a belief in a place after death. These religions also believe that if you follow that religions rules, you will go to some kind of paradise. However, if you sin, you will go to a place that is not paradise.

Names

What this place is called varies between religions. It can be called: Hell, The Underworld, Naraka (in Buddhism), Hades (In Christianity and Greek Religions), Amaravati, Bhogavati, Naraka (In Hinduism),and, Jahannam and Narr (In Islam).

Description

What Hell is like can vary between religions as well. In Islam and Christianity, Hell is depicted as fiery and boiling hot. Other religions believe that Hell is cold and gloomy. Some theologies of Hell offer graphic and gruesome detail, and others only give small details. Hell is often portrayed as being populated with demons, who torment and torture the damned. These demons are often led by that religion's death God.
