Intended Edits

Pile, you have a note on this page to discuss "major edits" before implementing them. I want to work through the Master list of logical fallacies page and move content from that single, large page into the individual pages for each fallacy. That index page is obsoleted by the logical fallacies category.

I also would like to format the fallacy pages such that they have similar layouts. At a minimum sections called "Definition", "Examples" and "External References" and where possible sections called "Explanation", "Also Known As" and "See Also" for related fallacies.

Does this sound like a good game plan to you? Eddie 11:12, 19 October 2009 (CDT)

I like your ideas. I think in the case of logical fallacies, we really need to make that section slick, perhaps with some kind of box on the right and divided into categories. This is an important section to me so you'll note I have at least 3-4 different master lists of fallacies - I'd like to keep them all because each source has a different perspective, but the individual pages-per-fallacy I am all for standardizing. Some, like Strawman, I've put a lot of personal time into making as best it can be - that would serve as an example of how I'd like them all to be ideally, but I also like the idea of having some sort of right-justified box that has an index of some sorts, the way Wikipedia does for major topics.--Pile 11:22, 19 October 2009 (CDT)

Also, if you want to work on some other plans, register on the messageboard, let me know what your account is (via e-mail) and I'll give you access to a private area for mods to discuss things.--Pile 11:22, 19 October 2009 (CDT)

I agree these pages are some of the most important on this site.
I will use the Strawman article as a template if I find articles that need reformatting. I will leave the index pages alone on the grounds of what you say.
When I get a chance I will register on the forum and let you know. At the moment I'm dealing with a fried power supply on one computer and a failing drive on another. :( Eddie 19:11, 19 October 2009 (CDT)
