In a perfect world, religious people would be able to separate their personal sense of self, from their chosen belief system and deal with comment, criticism, and even mockery, without taking it as a personal insult. Some think that "offensive images" are done in a hurtful manner. Others of us see these, often humorous and ridiculous characterizations, as a way of calling attention to the irrationality of letting superstition rule ones' world.

Your mileage may vary, but it's important to remember, if you are a religious person, the same freedom we exercise to publish these images is the same freedom you have to practice your bronze-age superstitious beliefs. You cannot have one without the other, no matter how hard you try.
