"Thoughts and Prayers" are worthless

- James 2:14-16:
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? NIV

- Matthew 5:39:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

- Psalm 37:8:
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil. NIV

If someone asks for something of you, give it to them

- Matthew 5:42:

Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Abandon Childish Ways; Think and act like an adult.

- 1 Corinthians 13:11:

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

We are judged by our works

- Corinthians 5:10:
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad

Love your enemies

Jesus makes it quite clear, hatred is not Christian, even hatred of an enemy.

- Matthew 5:43-44:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

- Leviticus 19:18:

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

- Ephesians 4:31:

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.

Charity towards others is most important

- 1 Corinthians 13:13:
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

God takes care of everybody, not just good Christians

- Matthew 5:45:

That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

The Golden Rule

Treat others as you would like yourself treated.

- Leviticus 19:18:

Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

- Matthew 7:12:

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

- Luke 6:31:

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

- Galations 5:14:

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love is all that's important

- Matthew 22:35-40:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love they neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

- Romans 13:8:

Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Use your own judgment; don't believe everything
